Breakfast in my time and at my pace - excellent. Car parking and close to the center of Colchester made my stay most enjoyable. I shall look forward to staying again soon.

Nothing too much trouble, the venue met the needs. Our room was bright, airy and equipped with coffee, a bath, for example. We had brilliant meals in the hotel; visited The Albert based not far away.
Views appeared to be awful.

It was too expensive for a hotel with such a bad reputation as I found out later. I sincerely advice everybody not to stay there!!! It was pretty much the worst accommodation I have ever stayed, need to admit it doesn't have a standard of some hostels!!!. Terrible, terrible place !

Despite reading very poor reviews on this hotel, I found no fault whatsoever. Very clean, friendly helpful staff, decorative foyer. Room 3 was great. spacious, bright, comfy bed, good pillows, powerful shower. freeview telly. Alas, had to leave too...

The breakfast served was better than I was expecting and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The man that was on reception at the time I arrived did not have a good grasp of english and it tok some time for me to check in.The breakfast was served the next morning with loud bollywood music playing in the restaurant which is not really what I needed at that time in a morning. The rooms were not provided with adequate tea and coffee making facilities and the rooms were noisy in that you could hear every door banging throughout the night. I don't think it offered good value for money and I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to anyone else.
